Removing Barriers to Music Practice and Performance

In August 2024, the Nockels family sadly lost Isaac. Isaac was a musician, with a dream to perform his own electronic music around the world. He knew how to combine sound to make harmonies worth sharing and perfecting. As part of remembering his musical talent, the Nockels family have committed to a yearly award for King Edward’s School (KES) students who share the same aptitude and interest in music production, performance and learning as Isaac. Music was part of Isaac - with this prize aiming to carry on his legacy. In being recognised by his KES teachers, Isaac held great proficiency in layering sound, both to create memorable hooks and to conjure up feel-good emotion. He began producing music on freely downloadable software, before reaching its limit and becoming proficient in LMMS, FL Studio and then Ableton. Isaac was due to take up a place at Sheffield College in Music Production, beginning in September of 2024. He also played the cornet to a high-level, participating in Loxley Silver Band and undergoing individual tuition via the Sheffield Music Hub
